Waiting!

People are used to instant,
Waiting is lost to a few,
Are we are too busy for this? if only you knew!
Can't you breathe a second, those in the instant crew?
Take time for you and you may just feel NEW.

Look at whats around you, see those magic smiles, you don't need to rush around see, smell, and see the day around.
Locked in should of been that education this can't keep going on.
Impatience is so ugly - did anyone die whilst you stopped.
The lesson is to breathe and look and see.!

This Time

I felt the need after watching the News and the report of loss amongst families.
 This poem came to me.

The Deaths that have happened in lockdown.
The pain that i feel for those lost.
The funeral taking a different route, of 20 minutes and thats the lot.
Not staying for a reminiscing, celebration, the celebration of the life, that was lost, at the time of the virus around.
Taking away lives.
My heart goes out to the funeral directors, who are doing this time after time,
Not easy for you, not easy for us, but your just carrying on for mine.
Thankyou for helping the families and being a huge support
Please be sure to give yourself time.
and thankyou as you certainly mean alot.

The Virus of the World
But the one to open streets
Chatting from a distance

Neighbours instead of malls, seeing brawls and pub crawls.
For me i sit on my wall

A child of the 70's where we went out to play
Warm inside,
reminscing from my day

Animals given chances
Time for the environment to get back to speed.
Its not all gloom a doom
We just need to listen, take this time to breathe and listen to the birds and bees.

However Covid 19 its not funny, its taken lots from families,
Its the unseen disease that can catch someone at speed.

The Virus of the World.
Tests and PPE
Science and Daily News for us all to heed.

You will always get the stupid, its those who can really fall from not keeping a distance and spreading it round more.

 Myth busters
 Covid verses Dementia

Are you feeling trapped?
Living with a Dementia is more than that.
Frustration that can grip you and you just don't know
Asking to go out but no where to go, but you cry!
Living with it Daily In the need for freshair.
Do you get that link whilst Covid is being a mare.
Social distance, thats something, that sometimes can't be done but reasurance and more love until this is has gone.

Do you feel the same? and your not to blame!

But imagine you don't remember, you just feel the pain and say the same again, I want to go out please i am going insane.

Dementia I am sorry this epidemic is interupting your life,

LIving well is important and that we know right!
Do you get that link whilst Covid is being a mare.

Do you get that link whist Covid is being a mare.
"I just want to go out that door!"

Keeping the Distance

Keeping the Distance,

Is it really so hard,
2 metres, 6 and a Half feet,
Just look and see, where you are.
Stop cutting across, Stop, who do you think you are.
You may have the virus, its not Ha ha ha
Yes you with the smirk and me with the mask
Just keep a wide birth, so i can get past.
If this is you, you need to change your ways, the virus isn;t over and i want to get through these days.
I am protecting you, in those isles in the shops, so just stay away
Think and just stop.

How Old ?

HOW OLD time to learn.

Crap to be told by the person, not so directly involved.
Its like a repeat of stories of old.
Actually I am wondering HOW OLD?

Yes I am talking about age.
In relation I am glad i am not the same.
I speak to the all people first hand.
As I know if you don't things can turn bad.
HOW OLD?

If it wasn't meant, it is a lesson that must be learnt.
Because if it wasn't, next time you will become burnt.
Treat people with respect ... Its not something you get on a plate.
Beating around the bush is so wrong as its not like you are 21.
How Old... Time to learn....

A Poem for Mum

I will never get over my heart without you,
It flutters and skips a beat and pain goes right through,
I couldn't write down what I felt before, as other stuff was going on, to be able to grieve, once more.
I was ugly with anger you being taken from me,
Looking at others and feeling why me.
You never complained you never moaned,
You accepted your fate and said you were not frightened to go home.
Lucky with faith as that helped you through,
I always knew,
as grieving,
happened before you went,
as conversation disappeared,
with times i spent.
Its now the eve of your Birthday 77 you would be,
But its a 2nd Heavenly Birthday but the 1st with a Tree.

The Journey

Time to think and time for a moment,
 Some golden time for me,
Wrapping myself what others get could be that precious seed.
Thankful for the time,
 Thankful for the life,
that was given to me.

Holding hands and just being there for someone that we love,
Its just the precious moment that connects our lives with love,
 The moments last for ever,
 through laughter and through pain,
 We learn to live,
We learn to give and dance and sing in the rain.

I am on a massive journey,
My heart just aches with pain,
But this is something some don't get so I will be blessed to dance in the rain.

Keeping it all together is what we intend to do.
Being proud of moments given as the time we battle through.
The presence of those gone, there here to keep us strong.
Its heard and seen with song.
And we will still be dancing in the rain.                                            15th 3.2017

Poems and waves

Poems are coming and flowing ...
Waves, and calmness.
Coming and going,
Crashing and splashing...
Any where.... timeless
Still and nothingness..
The End

Theres only one

I only have one.

The pain is so intense
I only have one
Thinking of the what if but trying to remain CONFIDENT
Everything's going to be alright

The one is special
Its not the time
I am not ready to not have them in my life.

The Cancer has returned I hate it with a passion
I know I am not alone as it happens

My only one is strong,
Time will be and will be fine for some extra time to carry on.

Leaving

Leaving

I am sorry i have to go,
There is poison in my head,
Purely not me,
I had a vision and now i can't see,
I am blinded by my hurt,
I am sad it has to be but the working relationship will never be,
Being bullied from the start,
So the best thing to do it depart,
But not for them I feel hurt,
It will never be right until the bigger picture is made right.
Backbone must appear and that could take years.

The Mystery of the missing keys.

The mystery of the missing keys,
More that 24 hours and no explanation,
They must of landed in someone else s hands,
put probably in a draw or a carrier bag.
One would hope.
I wish my keys could send a message,
to me and talk about where they are,
they can't of gone far.
One would hope.
Planning the replacement,
Ok, so a knew lock,
2 new keys,
Whats the luck of them then just turning up.
If they do I will be smiling with glee.
They must be lying around with all the odd socks
and missing remotes.
There are worse things that happen,
Terrible things happen every day,
So lets just, learn from it and not let them ruin another day.
There is no end to the mystery,
they have gone for good or will appear one day,
but it doesn't stop your questioning,
how did they disappear.

The Goodbye until we meet again.

The goodbye in Body,
But never in the mind,
I will be with you with every living sound.

I will be there in the Sunshine,
Be there in the rain,
Throw the snowballs when the snow falls,
Until we meet again.

I didn't mean to hurt you all,
I sorry it made you all cry,
But I am out of pain with the Sun and the rain,
Please live to make me smile.

I hope you pass with good grades,
I hope you live your lives,
I couldn't see it for myself,
That's why I made you cry.

Don't keep asking questions,
This is a wonderful place,
The peace is here with me now,
With the Sun, Snow Wind and Rain..

In memory of a young man .... ..

I am in the Army

I
I am in the Army,
I served all over Europe,
I don't remember things much now,

My Brother went to Cathedral School,
My brother was a good singer.

I liked reading but i don't read now,

What are your hobbies I like reading,
I smile,

I listen and you will repeat but each time as you repeat I acknowledge you as if i haven't heard this from your before.

Your not barmy,
you deserve respect,
you served in the army.

A man who lives with Dementia.
I will smile, and hold your hand.
You will smile back and that feeling will last.

I will go with you and in your world and keep your feelings in tact.
I won't argue, there is no reason too.
Its excepting the chat,
That's in the now but I know its your past I will help you to connect to the feelings from the past NOW.

Written with reason ... they mostly always are.

You may feel like running,
You may feel like staying away
But the people that will always support you
are your family at the end of the day.
They will always forgive you
They won't turn you away
They love you with every part of there sole
They want to see you another day
Ok, so things are tough now
Ok, so things went wrong
If this is you and your reading this
Hold you head up and carry on
Having been there in a tunnel
The dark and no light
I know it won't be easy
But you'll be better for this fight.
You can carry on your journey
Live the life you want
But you need the love of the family
As its family that can help you get strong

The Secret Poem

The secret Poem.....
I am not saying a word,
I will take it to my grave,
I will just do what I have too,
In order to get through,
Secret Illness, secret times,
Its all mine ... hidden in the depths of my mind.
Maybe a stir from TV the thought there was before.
But its just a distant memory,
A life that was before,
Secret times.

Something in Standing in my way

Feeling the Poem ...is back
Moving on.......

Some thing is standing in my way....
If that something doesn't change I will push it aside.
No where to run no where to hide.

Excepting that its different
Excepting that its huge
Is it just that,
I feel I will just loose.
Self doubt - on change to improve.
People like a challenge
I don't want to stay the same
I read, I work, I read some more,
To create a brighter day
Learning is the essence,
To keep the blues away,
Starting a brand new project,
Please don't stand in my way.
This just happened the spontaneous Poem.
It wasn't planned,
Its nothing grand,
But just move out of the way... in order for me to have more say.

oh its over.. closure

Oh its over, - Closure, but not in my heart.
Time to go sooner or later.
The days I spent revising the problems that occur,
It didn't work then, but its not the point, revising some more,
Every one is different, the person, the day, the hour changes that,
How the past was spent, what the young, youthful time, meant,
Was it laugh or was it hurt,
Activities enhance the day doing it the meaningful way,
Go away, I just want to be left alone.
Half an hour that goes and this can change to a yes,
This will create a moment the smile means so much, its all to do with a connection that comes naturally to you, us!

It’s hard to Explain

The grief, the pain is hard to explain,
The memories, the smiles you gave,
But it’s only for a short time,
Till we meet again,
A gentleman with humour,
And not forgetting the Father in Law in a million.
Out of pain now for which I am glad.
But the legacy you leave is Dementia’s will be talked about and
people will know what it truly means.
